Description

The Human Resources Generalist position is responsible for full-service human resources management for both hourly and salaried employees, under the oversight of the Human Resources Director/Associate Director for OneWorld. This position plays a vital role in supporting our dedicated healthcare professionals by fostering a positive work environment aligned with our values of equity, compassion, and community service. This position performs complex duties requiring independent judgment and coordination in one or more areas of a comprehensive human resource operation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in human resources, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2โ€“4 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a healthcare or non-profit setting
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, etc.) ย and regulations and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintaining knowledge of HR and organizational practices, procedures, policies, and systems to be able to respond to inquiries and provide information to employees.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills written and oral communication, are required to effectively interact with associates at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office/Computer skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Adobe PDF.
  • Experience with HRIS systems. (Paycom preferred)
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish required. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) required.
  • Adaptable to quick changes in work requirements; ability to move from one project to another as needed; exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Understanding the unique challenges and culture of nonprofit and/or healthcare environments is a plus.
