 Position Information:

The Human Resources Generalist will partner closely with the Senior Human Resources Manager and Talent Acquisition Team to support the vision, strategy, and execution of general human resources and talent engagement activities, including supporting human resources, orientation, onboarding, benefits, training, communications, and retention.  

The Human Resources Generalist will support the organization’s human resources activities and HRIS management, ensuring they are executed with compliance, efficiency, innovation, and customer service in mind. This position requires experience in human resources cross-functional areas, such as talent engagement, benefits administration, and employee onboarding. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Strong MS Office skills; Exceptional Customer Service skills.

 Essential Functions

  • Supports routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Operations to support employee engagement, new hire, and exit survey data to improve employee engagement throughout the organization.
  • Provide support to employees as it relates to questions concerning payroll, benefits, position descriptions, corporate policies, and other employee-related matters.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Support compliance with federal and state laws/regulations that impact the recruiting/hiring process across the company.
  • Conduct research, development, and implementation of HR strategies/activities and retention strategies and activities. 
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Support the talent acquisition team to provide uniform recruiting, onboarding, and training processes for the organization to include: conducting screenings/interviews, participating in the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborating with departmental managers to understand and validate skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Support and/or facilitate background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Participate in and assist with initiatives, and optimize BreakForth Solutions' presence and reach among active and passive job seekers through ADP, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other career boards.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support to all employees to assist with special projects, special events, corporate off-sites, and other activities.
  • Execute reporting, presentations, and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in progressive Human Resources operations; Government Contracting experience preferred;
  • High School Degree required; Higher education can be substituted for experience.
  • Ability to maintain good judgment and offer effective advice and solutions
  • Strong ability to multitask across diverse projects, issues, and scenarios, being able to pivot quickly
  • Execute exceptional written, verbal, and overall communication skills; must have strong attention to detail when writing emails, reports, presentations, etc. 
  • Exceptional MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Zoom, MS Teams skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
