POSITION OVERVIEW
The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is responsible for supporting all aspects of human resources practices and processes. The HRG will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives. This role is key in enhancing the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and HR policies, programs and practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for performing all day-to-day Human Resources functions such as conflict mediation, employee relations, leave administration, providing leaders guidance, corrective actions, disputes and investigations, HRIS workflows.
- This role focuses heavily on employee relations, conflict mediation, conducting thorough investigations and advising leaders.
- The HRG works closely with departments including recruiting, onboarding, compensation, payroll and others within Human Resources to support and enhance the employee experience.
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training
- Respond to inquiries from employees, and leaders, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff as necessary
- Follow established guidelines and seek necessary assistance to resolve employee relation matters; demonstrate attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and consistent and fair judgement while maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity; communicates with those that have a need to know
- Attend and participate in employee corrective action meetings, and terminations
- Provide feedback and coaching to managers to help them develop and enhance their management skills and consult with them on organizational and staffing issues
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. Review policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintain OSHA log for company location and ensure federal posting requirements are met

- Frequent communication; verbal communication to include listening and speaking, written communication to include reading and responding to emails, chats, HR tickets, etc.
