About the Role: The part-time Human Resources Generalist will provide first-level HR support in our production facility. This role is critical in supporting daily employee relations topics and ensuring an engaging and positive employee experience while supporting operational HR processes. The ideal candidate will be a trusted, on-site resource for employees and managers, focused on fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Employee Relations:

  • Act as a first point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related questions, concerns, and day-to-day employee relations issues.
  • Support and guide employees and supervisors through team dynamics, conflict resolution, and workplace challenges.
  • Provide advice on HR policies, procedures, and best practices while maintaining confidentiality and fairness.


Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, resume screening, and initial interviews to help attract and select qualified candidates.
  • Support hiring managers through the recruitment process and coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a smooth start for new hires.


HR Administration & Compliance:

  • Assist employees with payroll questions, benefits enrollments, and other HR-related inquiries.
  • Help ensure HR processes align with company policies and legal requirements, particularly those specific to New York state labor laws.
  • Support general HR initiatives, projects, and communications within the production facility.


Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar HRIS, as well as MS Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR roles with a focus on employee relations, conflict resolution, and recruiting support.
  • Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment is a plus.


This is a part-time, on-site position located in our production facility in Amherst, NY.
