About the role

The Human Resources Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. This individual will bridge management and employee relations by assisting with employee engagement initiatives as well as driving advocacy for the employees and broader organization in a mutually beneficial manner. The role encompasses a wide range of HR functions, including but not limited to performance management, employee relations, HR policy formulation, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion, and leadership development.  

What you'll do

  • Manage all human resources functions, ensuring smooth operations and compliance.
  • Manage offboarding processes for both involuntary and voluntary employee terminations.
  • Track and manage employee leave of absences, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage electronic Human Resources Information System (Rippling) and maintain organizational charts
  • Oversee the performance review process and goal setting initiative, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and promoting employee development.
  • Handle employee benefits administration, ensuring timely enrollment for new hires and during open enrollment for current employees, addressing benefit inquiries, and collaborating closely with the company’s benefits broker. 
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts for various roles across the organization. Partner with headhunters to fill challenging positions and manage contract roles.
  • Manage training program by ensuring employees are up to date on assignments, maintain curriculums by department, and update training files
  • Coordinate renewals and updates for insurance policies, as well as handle related information requests.
  • Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in managing the corporate compliance program
  • Liaise with external consultants on immigration matters
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure adherence to policies, laws and regulations.
  • Drive initiatives to streamline HR processes, boosting efficiency and productivity, updating HR SOPs as needed.
  • Enhance file shares on SharePoint, adding essential links and topics to provide navigation and accessibility for all employees.
  • Collaborate with auditors, finance, and other departments to fulfill information requests.
  • Ensure the employee handbook is up to date by making necessary edits and collaborating with the Director of Operations and company attorney.
  • Maintain employee records and documentation according to policy and legal requirements.  
  • Maintain and update as needed, job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.    
  • Active support and partnership with senior leadership to design and execute employee engagement programs both in the collection of feedback and execute on targeted strategies to enhance and maintain engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of reliability and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates adaptability, a forward-thinking approach, and works with empathy and integrity.

 

Position Location – San Diego, California (Sorrento Valley)

Position Type – Contract, on-site

Compensation Range – $85K-$95K
