ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:
This position is hands-on and accountable for delivering compliant, employee-focused services across the full employee lifecycle, while partnering with leadership to support organizational goals, mitigate risk, and foster a positive workplace culture. Act with integrity and accountability by executing human resources operations, partnering collaboratively with leaders and employees, and applying innovative approaches to enhance compliance, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Understanding human resources best practices across the employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, succession planning, and offboarding).
- Knowledge of organization, operating procedures, and policies of the human resource department.
- Understanding of modern office procedures and processes.
- Relevant computer software and hardware applications knowledge.
- Ability to motivate individuals in achieving goals and objectives.
- Strong Time Management and Priorities Management Skills
- Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
- Experience with benefit administration, leave management, and payroll coordination.
- Understanding of HRIS systems, (preferably ADP Workforce Now), employee data management, and reporting.
- Awareness of workplace safety, worker's compensation, and return-to-work processes.
- Understanding of confidentiality, equity, and inclusion principles and compliant hiring practices.
- Ability to apply innovative human resources solutions while maintaining compliance and integrity.
- 3-5 years of hand-on Human Resources Generalist experience supporting employees and managers.
- Direct experience handling employee relation issues, including investigations and disciplinary actions.
- Experience administering benefits, leave programs, and onboarding processes.
- Partnering with leaders to provide practical human resources guidance and coaching.
- Preferably previous experience with ADP Workforce Now.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Supporting the operational shifts as required. There may be times where working hours are shifted to accommodate investigations, events, or meetings.
- Responsible for the preparation and onboarding of employees including orientation of full time and temporary employees.
- Update internal databases, HRIS systems, and/or spreadsheets.
- Prepare new hire offers of employment.
- Liaise with external partners such as temporary / recruiting agencies, insurance vendors, etc.
- Timely and accurate responses to employee questions about HR-related issues.
- Participate in Human Resources projects.
- Establish/maintain employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for proper authorization and adherence to company policy including compliance with federal/state/local regulations
- Cross trained to collaborate with entire Human Resources team- including Training & Development and Payroll Administration.
- Proactively supports the delivery of Human Resources processes.
