Job Purpose

We are looking for a proactive HR Specialist with 1-2 years of experience to manage and support our HR functions at our Dallas location. In this role, you will handle a variety of HR tasks, including employee relations, performance management, training, and policy enforcement. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in HR best practices, possess excellent communication skills, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation, completing necessary paperwork, and facilitating initial training.
  • Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and files.
  • Assist with Open Enrollment for benefit plans, including organizing employee meetings and scheduling.
  • Support managers in addressing employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
  • Conduct investigations into employee misconduct or policy violations, maintain detailed records, and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Qualifications & Required Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in human resources roles, with a focus on HR generalist responsibilities.
  • Previous experience in HR support, documentation management, and administrative tasks is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in using HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR software is often required. Experience with payroll systems is also preferred.
  • A solid understanding of employment laws and regulations is essential. This includes knowledge of labor laws, anti-discrimination laws, and regulations related to employee benefits and workplace safety.
  • Experience in administrative or support roles within HR or a related field is beneficial. This includes tasks such as maintaining employee records, handling documentation, and providing general HR support.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills can be beneficial, as HR Specialists often serve as a point of contact for employees and need to manage inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
