HR Professional

Summary/Objective:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Executive leadership team in supporting the company in various designated geographic regions.  


Essential Functions:

• Administers a variety of human resources plans, programs, and procedures for company personnel, while assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and policy manuals.

• Participates in the development and support of departmental goals, objectives, and systems to enhance overall HR operations and organizational effectiveness.

• Supports HR leadership in administering compensation programs, launching performance evaluations, and communicating evaluation outcomes to employees and management.

• Assists with benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, invoice approvals, and employee communication regarding benefit programs.

• Supports the development and maintenance of affirmative action programs, files annual EEO-1 reports, and maintains records, reports, and logs to ensure compliance with EEO and Department of Labor regulations.

• Conducts new hire orientations and employee interviews, while managing personnel file creation, organization, and maintenance processes.

• Provides support in employee relations matters, including counseling, outplacement assistance, and exit interview processes.

• Participates in administrative staff meetings, professional seminars, and other organizational meetings as needed.

• Maintains company organizational charts and employee directories to ensure accurate and up-to-date workforce information.

• Assists in evaluating departmental reports, decisions, and results in relation to established goals and performance standards.

• Communicates with external vendors and court systems regarding employee garnishments and related matters.

• Generates reports and performs data analytics for HR and other departments to support business and workforce decisions.

• Reviews and audits benefits billing, 401(k) weekly reports, and other HR-related financial and compliance documentation.

• Supports the preparation and filing of departmental compliance reports and maintains HRIS records while compiling reports from the database.

• Recommends and implements new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve departmental efficiency and service delivery.

• Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations.

• Performs additional related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

Five years’ corporate headquarters experience or a bachelor’s degree and three years of human resource experience, or a master’s degree in human resource management and two years’ experience in the HR field.  


 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel 

Travel may be expected to support site visits, attend conferences, or corporate meetings, etc.
