Summary: 

This position will act as an HR Generalist to Department Leaders using tactical expertise across the entire employee lifecycle. This role has broad exposure across multiple HR functional areas, and oversee legal and regulatory compliance with all federal, state and local laws.  Reporting to the Manager of HR, the HR Generalist will use their progressive HR experience to identify process improvement opportunities, participate in escalated employee relations and lead talent acquisition and hiring. The HR Generalist functions with a high level of professionalism, and confidentiality while exercising discretion and independent judgement on HR matters.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures aligning with company goals.
  • Serve as point of contact to all level of employees, answer questions in a timely manner and help employees navigate all aspects of Human Resources. 
  • Manage job description development and updates.
  • Maintain current knowledge of employment laws, best practices and sharing knowledge amongst HR team members.
  • Responsible for leaves, FMLA, ADA Accommodations and all other leaves of absences. Serves as a subject matter expert on all issues related to FMLA, PSL, PFL, FAMLI, and other leaves of absence for medical, family, and personal reasons accordance with policies and applicable state and federal regulations. 
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on complex employee relation issues and terminations. This includes company performance management review process and tracking performance goals. 
  • Mediate and resolve employee conflicts in alignment with company policies and legal compliance. 
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings and terminations as required.
  • Conduct investigations into employee grievances or workplace issues as needed. 
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans and wellness initiatives. 
  • Provide guidance to employees on benefits enrollment and eligibility.  
  • Assist with employee benefit programs, and assist employees with enrollment, changes, inquiries and serving as a liaison between employees and benefit providers. 
  • Coordinate employee training programs and identify professional development opportunities. 
  • Collect and report on employee data gathered from stay and exit interviews, providing insights for organizational improvement. 
  • Manage special HR projects or initiatives as directed by leadership. 
  • May perform other duties as assigned to support department goals.
  • May occasionally work extended hours based on operational needs.

Experience and Skills: 

  • 3-5 years progressive HR experience.
  • Strong business acumen and comprehensive understanding of organizational dynamics.
  • Experience working with HRIS, ATS and other HR integrated software.
  • Strong communication, leadership, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Expert knowledge of applicable employment laws, and HR best practices. 
  • Demonstrates initiative to plan, lead and participate in activities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • ADP Workforce experience.
  • Previous employee data reporting experience.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Human Resources Certification (SHRM-CP, aPHR, etc.) preferred.

Work Schedule:

The work week is typically Monday through Friday, with business hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Employees are required to be onsite 2-3 days per week following a 90-day training period and upon management approval.

Salary Range:

The salary for this position typically ranges from $79,000-$89,000 annually, depending on qualifications, experience, and other factors. Please note that the final offer may differ based on the candidate's specific qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity and business needs.
