Position Summary

Provides human resources and employee relations support to various departments across Achieva. Utilizes experience and knowledge of applicable laws to carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: management coaching,  employee relations, recruiting, workers’ compensation, among other HR responsibilities. Seeks guidance and support from other managers and employees as needed. Reports to the Vice President of Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  1. Serve as a point of contact for all employees in designated departments covering all functional HR areas. Ensures that the HR services meet the business needs.

  2. Assists and advises departments about Human Resources issues by evaluating potential solutions and coaching and counseling managers and employees. If necessary, address employee issues, investigation coordination, policy review, past practice analysis, and corrective action recommendations. Ensures appropriate documentation, records, and forms are collected and filed accordingly.

  3. Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended standard process.

  4. Works with Achieva’s 3rd party administrator on leave management, including return to work.

  5. Performs all activities with discretion and maintains the confidentiality of all information. Supports the goals and objectives of the Human Resources Department and Achieva at all times.

  6. Provides a high level of customer service to employees in assisting with Human Resources requests.

  7. Performs a vast range of employment activities from recruitment through the separation of employment.

  8. Use Paycom HRIS system for HR functions. Utilize various software for creating documents & reporting, including Google Docs

  9. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications

The equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or a related field and 2 or more years of related HR experience. Excellent computer skills are required and HRIS experience is a must. Basic knowledge of employment laws is necessary. The ability to prioritize and organize multiple job tasks is essential. Some local travel is required to other Achieva locations. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Satisfactory FBI clearance is required.
