Carris Reels is looking for a motivated, people-focused Human Resources Generalist to join our team and help shape a positive, performance-driven culture in our employee-owned manufacturing operation. This role is critical to advancing our commitment to teamwork, safety, shared ownership, and continuous improvement. You will serve as a trusted partner to employees and leaders across all three shifts—helping to build strong teams, develop talent, and promote an environment where people feel valued and we all succeed together.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a culture guide, supporting and reinforcing our employee-owned values and commitment to shared success.
  • Serve as a primary HR point of contact for supervisors and managers, providing guidance in team development, employee relations, coaching, and engagement.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding, with a focus on long-term success.
  • Coordinate comprehensive onboarding and learning experiences that set the tone for teamwork, safety, and accountability.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including attendance and timekeeping, and collaborate with Corporate HR/payroll to ensure timely updates in all systems.
  • Support employees through benefit programs, worker’s compensation claims, and leaves of absence, while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Facilitate training programs that strengthen leadership, reinforce safety practices, and encourage continuous improvement.
  • Assist and coach managers on performance feedback, development plans, and recognition strategies to strengthen retention and morale.
  • Promote employee engagement by collaborating on team development initiatives and organizational effectiveness strategies.
  • Ensure consistent application and communication of company policies and procedures; educate employees and leaders on company expectations.
  • Actively facilitate or participate in employee committees focused on safety, wellness, and community involvement.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a 100% employee-owned company where every voice matters and every contribution counts.
  • Play a key role in shaping a supportive, values-driven culture with a focus on shared ownership and success.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package, including:
    • Medical, dental, vision, and life/disability insurance
    • Employee Stock Ownership Plan
    • 401(k) with company contribution
    • Profit-sharing
    • Paid time off and holidays

If you're a natural team builder, a confident hands-on HR professional, and someone who believes in growing people and culture together, we invite you to join us. Help us foster a workplace where ownership, engagement, and excellence thrive.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred and OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus.
