HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST     LOCATION: Cumberland Valley- Mt. Vernon, KY with occasional travel to Paintsville, Lexington, Corbin and other assigned locations throughout service areas

PAY RATE: $20.92 Hourly (Pay is negotiable based on experience)

Summary:

Provides general administrative support to a variety of Human Resources functions including Employment, Benefits and Payroll.  Assists with and serves as backup for other HR functions as needed. Administers and provides support to employee recognition and engagement components. Fields CAP admin support requests as needed. Provides Administrative support to HR Management. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides general administrative support for Human Resources functions including Employment (acts as liaison with vendors and schedules lift tests, drug screenings, etc.), Benefits (acts as liaison with vendors, orders and distributes bereavement crosses, cards, baby gifts, retirement gifts, etc.) and Payroll (acts as a liaison with HRIS reporting, employment verifications) ensuring compliance and precision in all processes.    50%
  • Administers HR’s employee recognition and engagement functions and provides support to other CAP employee functions as needed.  Responsible for scheduling, announcements, sending invitations, setting up meeting rooms, ordering, etc.  35%
  • Administers GoCanvas platform and utilizes HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and system efficiency.  Provides administrative support to HR Management. Creates documents, surveys and checklists within CAP’s HR systems.   15%

Supplemental:

Provides administrative assistance to staff and supervisors in all programs, as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

Associates  In related field  Required

Bachelors   In related field   Preferred

Extensive related experience may substitute for education requirements and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Years of Experience:

4 or more years of successful experience in related field or combination of education and experience

Required Certifications and Licensure:

Posses a Valid Kentucky Driver's License and Maintain a Safe Driving Record  

CAP Driving Certification (or ability to obtain within first 90 days)  

In order to drive personal vehicle on CAP business, must obtain and maintain a policy of motor vehicle insurance coverage on privately-owned vehicle with insurance coverage amounts of $50,000 bodily injury per person per accident; $100,000 bodily injury for all bodily injuries per accident; and $50,000 property damage per accident. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk
  • Lift 45 lb
  • Lifts/moves items with unknown weight or that are awkward shapes and sizes with assistance
  • Sit for extended periods of time
  • Have good visual acuity with corrective lenses
  • Have good hearing capabilities
