Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and well-rounded Human Resources Generalist / Administrative Specialist to support both the strategic and administrative functions of the Human Resources department. This role plays a critical part in fostering a positive employee experience while ensuring efficient HR operations. 

 

The position is responsible for a broad range of HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and HR record management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, approachable, and able to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.



Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred 
  • 5–10 years of progressive HR experience; experience in manufacturing or engineering environments preferred 
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and applicable employment laws 
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion 
  • Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and employees 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage and support full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and offer coordination
  • Serve as a point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Prepare onboarding documentation and conduct or coordinate new employee orientation
  • Ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience for new hires

 

Employee Records & HR Administration

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee personnel files (digital and physical)
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and record retention requirements
  • Manage HRIS data entry, audits, and reporting

 

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related inquiries
  • Support a positive and productive work environment through clear communication and issue resolution

 

Timekeeping & Benefits Support

  • Assist in maintaining accurate timekeeping and Paid Time Off records
  • Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee education

 

Compliance & Policy Implementation

  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Assist with audits and compliance reviews
  • Explain, and assist in updating HR policies and the employee handbook



General HR Support

  • Assist with special HR projects and initiatives and perform other related duties as assigned
