This role offers an amazing opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. The HR Generalist is key to the successful operations of the Chick-fil-A business. They have responsibility that stretches from behind the scenes admin work, team engagement, recruitment, and training. They work closely with the Operator, Executive Director Team and the Office Admin to ensure the store is running smoothly and that all employees and administrative details and tasks are up to date. The HR Generalist should exhibit strong decision making skills, interpersonal communication skills, and ability to solve problems and resolve team conflicts. Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Onboarding
  • Team Management 
  • Payroll 
  • Benefit Management 
  • Compliance Management


Recruitment & Interview 

  • Ensure job postings are up to date 
  • Review applicants on a daily basis 
  • Filter talent and schedule interviews
  • Create and maintain interview guides
  • Proactively ensure both restaurants are staffed properly 

Onboarding

  • Review files
  • Ensure proper documents are signed
  • Allow access to employees onto necessary communication channels

Team Management 

  • Manage promotions, suspensions, and terminations 
  • Upkeep of disciplinary systems 
  • Communicate with Executive Director team regarding team member points/performance
  • Handle disputes/claims regarding team members/leaders 
  • Participate in the positive work environment

Payroll

  • Payroll Processing
  • Manage Paid Sick leave accrual plans
  • W-2 distribution

Benefit/Compliance Management 

  • Manage 401K, Health and Dental insurance, paid-time off
  • Keep to date with third-party services
  • OSHA Compliance
  • Track completion of required training/certifications
