Pat Rate: $50,000–$52,500 annually
Work Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5-hour work week (Hybrid – 2 days remote / 3 days on-site)
Location: 711 Bingham Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203


Sign-On Bonus: Up to $2,000

Position Summary
Provides human resources and employee relations support to various departments across Achieva. Utilizes experience and knowledge of applicable laws to carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: management coaching,  employee relations, recruiting, workers’ compensation, among other HR responsibilities. Seeks guidance and support from other managers and employees as needed. Reports to the Vice President of Human Resources.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees in designated departments across all HR functional areas.
  • Ensure HR services meet business needs.
  • Assist and advise departments on HR issues by evaluating solutions, coaching, and counseling managers and employees.
  • Address employee issues as needed, including investigation coordination, policy review, past practice analysis, and corrective action recommendations.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation, records, and forms are collected and filed properly.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, along with recommended best practices.
  • Collaborate with Achieva’s third-party administrator on leave management, including return-to-work processes.
  • Perform all activities with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Support the goals and objectives of the HR Department and Achieva.
  • Provide high-level customer service to employees seeking HR assistance.
  • Perform a wide range of employment activities from recruitment through separation.
  • Use the Paycom HRIS system for HR functions.
  • Utilize software such as Google Docs for document creation and reporting.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • Job duties may change at any time with or without notice.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of related HR experience.
  • Excellent computer skills required.
  • HRIS experience is a must.
  • Basic knowledge of employment laws.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
  • Some local travel required to other Achieva locations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Satisfactory FBI clearance required.
