Dan & Jerry’s grows bedding plants, fruit, vegetables, herbs, and flowers annually in MN, SD, IA, and MI. We service retail centers throughout the Midwest and the East Coast.
SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for assisting the VP of Human Resources in the day-to-day activities of the Human Resources & Payroll. Promote and maintain a positive working environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (comprehensive, but not limited to):
Human Resources
Payroll
Recruiting
EXPERIENCE/DUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor’s degree in HR or similar field or 2+ years of related experience.
Extremely strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
Bi-lingual in Spanish strongly preferred
1-3 years of related experience with payroll processing preferred.
Proficient with PC’s and Office Suite software –Word, Excel, Outlook.
Experience working with an HR/Payroll software.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / TRAVEL:
The position requires a balance of sitting/office work and walking/standing to the greenhouses (production area). The production environment at times can be hot. There may infrequent travel to other site locations.
