Position Summary

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist provides a mix of recruitment and generalist support to the team, helping us attract top talent while also ensuring our HR processes run smoothly. The HR Generalist provides support to internal staff for all in aspects of the Human Resources function within Park West Health System, including but not limited to, employee file management, onboarding, benefit administration, compliance, and employee engagement while also supporting managers in the recruitment life cycle, attending career fairs, and supporting the HR Director in building relationships with colleges and trade schools to build the talent pipeline.

Essential Functions

Recruitment (35%)

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, to include initiating requisition process, posting job openings, provide support to hiring managers in screening candidates, coordinating interviews and making offers.
  • In coordination with the HR Receptionist, manage the onboarding process to include conducting background checks and verify employment eligibility.
  • Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) within Paycom.
  • Ensure the initial credentialing process for OCS and OLCP providers is completed prior to the start date.

HR Generalist & Compliance Responsibilities (65%)

  • Ensures the integrity of employee data in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) by entering data and changes accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Assist in running HR reports and preparing documentation for audits or compliance checks.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and ongoing credentialing verifications and certifications.
  • In coordination with the Director of Human Resources, co-facilitate bi-weekly New Hire Orientation
  • Communicate HR policies, procedures, and events to employees in person or via email.
  • Assist Director of HR with benefits administration, including providing support during the open enrollment period.
  • Assist the Director of HR in managing and tracking FMLA and other leave requests to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Support employee engagement efforts, including recognition programs and staff morale initiatives.
  • Respond to HR-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, escalating complex issues when needed.
  • Stay up to date on HR policies, employment laws, and best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive HR information.
  • Ensure HR activities comply with company policies and legal regulations related to employee privacy.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in human resources, Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent experience) required.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR or A-PHR a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, including recruiting and generalist functions.
  • Experience in HRIS Systems, preferably Paycom
  • Experience in a medical or healthcare facility preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desired
