Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist is a pivotal role that combines administrative expertise with performing diverse tasks across a wide range of human resources functions, including talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance and policy management, and HRIS system management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: support the Talent Acquisition team in the recruiting and hiring process, manage the onboarding program of new hires, and facilitate new hire orientations.
  • Employee Relations: timely respond and resolve employee concerns or questions regarding benefits, company policies, and workplace issues. Serve on the employee engagement committee to identify, organize and plan employee activities and events to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Benefits Administration: administer employee benefits programs, manage employee benefits enrollments and/or benefits changes, and process all changes in the HRIS system. Manage the on-site biometric testing program during open enrollment.  Support initiatives to communicate and educate employees on the various benefits offerings.
  • Performance and Training: assist with performance management processes and programs, training and development initiatives, and succession planning.
  • Compliance: help ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and employment laws, maintain confidentiality, and assist in disciplinary processes, leave management, and investigations.
  • HR Systems: maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system and ensure data integrity for reporting and payroll. Generate reports and track HR metrics.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • A minimum of 1 – 3 years of experience in Human Resources required.
  • Technically proficient in HRIS systems / software and Microsoft Office required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail required.
