Human Resources Generalist

LRS is seeking an HR Generalist to join our Corporate Human Resources Team! We are a global organization committed to fostering a positive, communicative, and innovative workplace. In this role, you will lead key HR functions while working alongside a dynamic HR team to support the current and future needs of the organization.

Candidate Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ of professional experience in human resources directly performing key duties such as benefits administration and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret and advise on employment-related policies and procedures.
  • Must have a demonstrated understanding of various employment laws and rules such as FML, ADA, and FLSA.
  • Strong technical and computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain discretion are critical for success in this role.
  • Demonstrated experience with effectively managing time and independently prioritizing work while maintaining a high level of detail, accuracy and organization.
  • Possessing formal human resources education, professional human resources certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) or training will make you a stronger candidate.
  • Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer without company sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will work alongside HR colleagues to:

  • Maintain all aspects of a transparent and highly functional employee benefit program including health, dental, vision, life, retirement, wellness and time off.
  • Assist with compliance-related activities, including audits, policy tracking, and documentation. This includes researching and staying apprised of the changing regulatory and market landscape.
  • Serve as a key liaison and trusted advisor to staff at all levels on employment related policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Marketing colleagues to coordinate employee recognition programs, including years of service, outings, events, and appreciation initiatives.
  • Ensure a seamless offboarding process for employees, covering communication, insurance enrollment, and continuation options.
  • Enter and maintain accurate and current data in the HRIS system and assist with data analytics and improvements.
  • Assist with supporting performance management concerns including corrective measures such as coaching, discipline, and training.
  • Assist the Director with evaluating and developing consistent position statements and equitable compensation plans across the organization.
  • Support and collaborate with HR colleagues to promote a cohesive team environment across the organization.

Organization Structure and Interfaces:

This position will report to the Director of Human Resources who reports to the Chief Administrative Officer and will involve strong collaboration within the Human Resources team as well as colleagues across the organization. It is based at our corporate headquarters in Springfield, IL, and offers an opportunity for a future hybrid remote schedule.

LRS offers a competitive benefit and compensation package. The salary range for this position will be commensurate with experience and education with a range of $75,000 - $90,000 per year.
