Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various HR functions, including recruiting, managing HRIS, and facilitating training programs. This role requires a strong understanding of HR practices and the ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels.  This position will be on-site in Norwich, CT.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to employees regarding HR-related inquires and issues. Partner with managers to effectively meet their Human Resource needs providing advice and assistance in all areas of HR.
  • Responsible for managing recruitment for positions throughout the agency.  Collaborate with management to identify staffing needs and develop strategies to attract top talent. Represents UCFS at job fairs throughout year.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with professional recruiters for placement of physicians, dentists or other clinical providers.
  • Maintain and update the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure accurate employee records and data management.
  • Coordinate onboarding of interns and maintain ongoing record of current students, interns and residents for reporting purposes.
  • Manages training enrollment for new employee and recurring annual training and monitors to ensure all trainings are completed. 
  • Onboard new employees and conduct HR overview for new hires. Coordinate of monthly new hire orientation including scheduling and tracking employee attendance and facilitating meetings with presenters as needed.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field 
  • One to three years of Human Resources experience, with prior recruitment experience a plus

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • SHRM-CP or PHR a plus  

Other Skills and Abilities

  

  • Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills   
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS systems, MS Office and recruitment processes.
