About the Role:

The Human Resources Generalist plays a crucial role in supporting the overall mission of our HVAC/Plumbing/Generator services company by managing various HR functions that contribute to a positive workplace culture. Here are the most common day-to-day focuses:

  • Payroll
  • Benefits and Time Off
  • Recruiting and Onboarding
  • Policies, Safety Training, and Handbook Management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ADP

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
  • Administer employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support employee relations by addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and facilitating conflict resolution.

Skills:

The required skills for this role include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for effectively interacting with employees and management. Organizational skills are crucial for maintaining accurate employee records and managing multiple HR functions simultaneously. Problem-solving skills will be utilized to address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely manner. Preferred skills, such as proficiency in HRIS systems, will enhance the efficiency of HR processes and data management.
