Summary |
The Human Resources Generalist will run the daily functions of the HR department, including hiring, interviewing, administering benefits and enforcing company policies and procedures. |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Support the Vision, Mission and Values of Allen Harim.
- Recruits, interviews and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills for required openings.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs (ADP, Kronos, AMG, Avigilon, etc) with accuracy
- Advises employees and management on the interpretation of Human Resources policies, programs, and procedures.
- Coordinates with the HR Supervisor when employees reach three (3) or more absences. Calls employees and logs in the information
- Ensures all new hire required paperwork is complete
- Process all hourly terminations, remove the files and scans them to the share drive
- Handles employment related inquiries from applicants, employees and supervisors referring sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices, reviews polies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Assist with filing employee documents

Education and/or Experience
- Associates or Bachelore’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preffered
- 1 to 3 years experience in Human Resources
- Microsoft Office knowledge with strong capabilities in Excel and systems: managing files and records
- Bi-Lingual Preferred (English, Spanish, Creole)

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multiple task
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel. Powerpoint, etc.)
