Now Hiring: Human Resources Generalist
Location: O'Reilly Hospitality Management
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the items listed below. Other duties may be assigned as necessary by the supervisor or manager.
- Manage the full team member lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding.
- Develop a strong and trustworthy partnership with the property leaders to align overall talent strategy to business priorities and objectives.
- Utilize business data to create insights and guide decisions in all aspects of people management.
- Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the HRIS and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors practices, and other sources to evaluate the effectiveness of various HR responsibilities and initiatives.
- Provide confidential coaching support to managers and team members on any issue relating to employment, including their role, managerial responsibilities, and team relationships.
- Manage their business units’ succession planning and talent management processes.
- Support strategic HR initiatives related to team member engagement, complex change, and transformation programs.
- Investigate team member relations issues and grievances related to misconduct, misbehavior, and substandard performance under the guidance of senior corporate HR leadership.
- Act as the first point of contact for all personnel issues to resolve team member concerns related to payroll, benefits, 401(k), and employee assistance programs, assists with open enrollment.
- Identify training needs and develops learning strategies to enhance workforce skills.
- Develop and implement professional development initiatives.
- Manage compliance activities to include EEOC, ADA, ACA, WC and FMLA.
- Support unemployment claims administration.
- Know and comply with all company policies and procedures.

- Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, & REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years progressive HR experience with a multi-location company with broad generalist experience in recruitment, team member relations, investigations, performance management, and respective employment laws.
- 2+ years hospitality experience is preferred.
- Experience with ADP HRIS system is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Travel up to 15%.
- Self-starter, with demonstrated strategic thinking and leadership skills and a track record of strong business results.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of diverse human resources disciplines including employment law, employee relations, workforce planning, training and development, and general business management principles.
- HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; self-motivated and excited to take initiative.
- Be kind, approachable, and an active listener who inspires trust and confidence.
- Genuine and strong interest in the ever-changing employment law landscape and comfortable with multi-state compliance.
- Bilingual (Spanish) isa plus.
