YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the HR management in completing all required tasks and reporting in order to meet or exceed all corporate requirements. 
  • Help employees and managers navigate through HR tools and processes.
  • Develop complex and strategic ad hoc reporting as required
  • Assist with audits necessary to maintain corporate compliance and insure adherence to laws and regulations.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all employees by answering employee questions and/or responding to employee inquiries.
  • Administers drug testing programs and coordinating quarterly random testing as required.
  • Maintains employee files in compliance with applicable legal requirements and retention policies.
  • Assist with the management of FMLA/ ADA/ EEO/ WC/LOA
  • Assist with employee relation matters by providing guidance on conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions while elevating as needed to Senior HR Management. 
  • Processes all invoices for the department in a timely manner. 
  • Responsible for onboarding all new employees, ensuring that all paperwork has been received and processed in a timely manner, including I-9 verification.
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and all regulatory agencies, including but not limited to: Brenntag Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Antitrust Compliance Policy, Protective Agreement, Dispute Resolution Agreement, DDOL, EEOC etc.
  • Supports the vision and mission of the company.
  • Perform other tasks and projects as needed to support the human resources department.

YOUR PROFILE 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (business, organizational management, human resources management or related degree) preferred, and a minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience with California state law and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Preference for bilingual English and Spanish
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (pivot tables, v-look up, etc.)
  • Ceridian Dayforce, Workday, and Cornerstone experience preferred.
  • Multi-state experience is preferred.
  • Must have experience supporting front-line management
  • Experience in warehousing, manufacturing or distribution environments strongly preferred.
