Under the guidance and direction of the Director, Human Resources, the HR Generalist is responsible for enhancing department functions by developing, implementing and maintaining talent acquisition activities, automated onboarding and employee orientation processes, learning and development programs, in-person employee relations solutions, and general HR administration activities.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
- Assist with development and execution of employer branding strategy through employee listening tools and pertinent employer market channels
- Deploy and administer Paycom ATS and Manitex Career Page to streamline talent processes and build talent pipeline
- Manage full-cycle talent acquisition process for staff salaried and hourly factory positions
- Collaborate with and manage recruitment service providers to assist with talent acquisition process. Negotiates competitive rates and reconciles and approves invoices
Talent Management
- Assist leadership with talent management process, including annual performance assessments, 9-box talent review, talent score cards, and talent gap analysis
- Promote/execute HR programs to foster a high-performance culture
- Produce, distribute, and present employee communications to improve employee engagement and understanding
- Develop solutions, manage outcomes, and maintain documentation for employee relations matters including internal talent acquisition activities, leave management, complaint investigation and resolution, and general inquiries
- Prepare for and participate in employee counseling sessions, disciplinary meetings, investigations, and termination meetings
HR Operations
- Maintain and ensure architectural/data integrity of HRIS system. Generate and obtain approvals for PAF, generate and reconcile reports. Participate in audit process
- Prepare and manage periodic reporting (Vets4212, AAP, EEO-1, internal reports, etc.)
- Develop, maintain, and report out on HR KPIs data analytics tools
- Acts as a liaison between the organization and external vendors and community service providers
- Assist with the planning and execution of employee events, organization-wide meetings, and other employee recognition events
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Payroll
- Assist Payroll/Benefits Manager with benefits administration and open enrollment process
- Act as a backup to the Payroll Manager/Benefits Manager
QualificationsQualifications
- BS/BA in business administration, accounting, human resources or related field
- Minimum 5 years of proven related HR/payroll experience
- Current knowledge of HR/payroll multi-state procedures and related laws
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Paycom highly preferred
- Professional certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) a plus
- Spanish bilingual preferred
