POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Generalist is involved in a broad range of HR responsibilities supporting our dynamic manufacturing facility. Works closely with the management team as an independent on-site HR contributor. The HR Generalist will be an integral part of the success of this organization and meeting its goals.
OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF ROLE
To support employee relations, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, benefits administration, compensation administration, and personnel records keeping.
PRIMARY CUSTOMER FOCUS
To act as a role model, promoting Kelvion’s Standard of Excellence which incorporates high standard of ethical behavior, to promote a culture of honesty and integrity, and one team culture which will be reflected in the services we provide to our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Administers benefits to include new hire activity, open enrollment coordination and distribution of mandated information to employee population.
- Track leave programs, such as FMLA, WC, Disability, to include reporting.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Perform benefits administration regarding 401(K), Medical/Dental/Vision enrollments and changes.
- Manage the onboarding procedures and ensuring that managers are provided with a new hire's first day/week agenda and ensures all processing of new hire paperwork.
- Assist with compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
- Consult with management, providing HR guidance as needed.
- Leads proper on-boarding process to include new-employee orientation.
- Establishes and maintains department records; customized report writing from ADP Workforce Now system.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Conducts exit interviews.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills, and ability to balance and complete multiple deadlines and conflicting priorities.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate among multiple functions and levels within the organization.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
- Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Experience with ADP a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1 year of HR experience, preferred.
- Industrial or manufacturing experience, preferred.
- Experience with ADP payroll processing and systems, a plus.
