ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

NNN REIT seeking a proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. This is a key role that supports day-to-day operations while identifying opportunities to improve our processes, enhance the employee experience, and support organizational growth. This role will work closely with the HR Manager and current Generalist, contributing to HR projects, initiatives, and employee support with a mindset of ownership and continuous improvement.

The Generalist I will administer and assist with HR programs and policies, assist the full life cycle of human resources (staffing, performance management, compensation, data analytics, learning & development, benefits administration, employee relations, health and wellness etc.) Proactively work with all levels of management to have a direct HR impact on business decisions and strategies. Administer functions related to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with full-life-cycle HR initiatives and processes to meet business priorities. 
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. (ADA, EEO, FMLA, FLSA, etc.) .
  • Assists in the recruiting process by creating and posting engaging job ads, conducting interviews, administering assessments, conducting background checks, etc.
  • Manage and facilitate all associate new hire orientation, on-boarding and off-boarding tasks.
  • Ensure all HR systems are updated with changes (new hires, title changes, pay changes, terminations, etc.) to include HRIS, performance management & recognition, LMS, compensation platform, all benefit systems.
  • Assist with planning and implementation of employee engagement events and initiatives
  • Assists with maintaining company LinkedIn Career page
  • Assist with benefits and compliance such as insurance and 401k, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Assists with the administration of benefit programs as well as leave of absence programs, including life, health, dental, 401k FMLA, Workers Compensation, and/or Disability and employee assistance
  • Assists with reviews of 401K reports for accuracy/ audits and files for reference and future review
  • Assists with 401k nondiscrimination testing and required IRS filings, form 5500, SAR, and disseminates SMMs as needed.
  • Develop, manage and prepare Human Resources reports for data analytics and presentations
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs providing high-quality service to employees.
  • Assist with salary compensation survey data
  • Assist with wellness programs through creative programming

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; a minimum of 2 years related experience; or Associate degree with 3-4 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience to include recruitment, benefits, compliance, employee engagement events, employee relations, compensation and data analytics. Advanced expertise in Excel. Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics and knowledge of HR systems and Power Point.

Human Resources certification (PHR) a plus, but not required
