General Description:

The Human Resources Generalist I provides mid-level, comprehensive HR support by managing day to day operations, including benefits administration, recruitment, employee relations and compliance with federal/state laws. 

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Provides administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
  • Manage job postings, screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate orientation for new hires.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, answer questions about insurance or leave (FMLA, ADA).
  • Act as primary point of contact for employee inquires, address workplace concerns, and assist in conflict resolution or investigations.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Maintain and update data in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Provides relevant, timely, and accurate reporting of information to the CHRO as requested or required.
  • Coordinate training sessions and assist in performance appraisal cycles.
  • Conducts exit interviews and assist with internal employee surveys.
  • Act as lead for employee engagement initiatives.
  •  All other task as needed.

Education/Experience Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • SHRM-CP preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of related HR experience required.

Skills Requirements:

  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite and technology.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Adaptability and a resourceful attitude.
  • Must be available to work after hours and weekends as required by management.
