Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time HR Generalist to support various human resources functions, with a focus on employee relations, compliance, and recruitment support. This role is ideal for someone with a broad HR background who is comfortable managing day-to-day HR tasks in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in administering benefits, leaves of absence, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting orientations and exit interviews.
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives and help foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Assist with performance review processes and track training and development activities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Support the recruitment process by posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and coordinate interview logistics.
  • Conduct initial phone screens and help evaluate candidates for culture and role fit.
  • Maintain applicant tracking systems (ATS) and ensure timely communication with candidates.
  • Assist with offer letters, background checks, and pre-employment processes.

  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR generalist or coordinator role, with recruiting exposure.
  • Working knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Workday, Lever, etc.) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus but not required. 
  •  Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

  

Work Schedule:

  • Flexible schedule – Monday through Friday – 20 - 25 hours per week
