SUMMARY 

The Human Resources Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR management in supporting all HR activities.

 

This position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of HR services, policies and programs and supports company staff and managers on Human Resources matters. Ensures compliance with all local and federal labor regulations completing all necessary documentation and reports, as well as with service provider’s requirements. Must also effectively perform HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR management in supporting all HR activities. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Respond to human resources-related inquiries.
  • Manage talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
  • Create and distribute internal communications regarding recruitment process, status changes, benefits, or company policies.
  • Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain employee personnel records.
  • Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.
  • Manage WorldNet’s Affirmative Action Plan 
  • Prepare and submit Monthly, Quarterly & Yearly Compliance reports.
  • Manage necessary documentation and reports for audits.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and documentation.
  • Support in the administration of all available leaves, such as vacations, sick, FMLA, FONDO, LTD, SINOT, Chauffer’s Insurance, Military, Paternity, Maternity, Funeral, Jury Duty and Criminal Witness, among other paid time off or un-paid time off leave request.
  • Duties apply or may apply for WorldNet Telecommunications LLC., WorldNet’s Synergy Foundation and/or other related entities.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Does not have supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University in Human Resources or related field. At least three years of experience in recruitment and as an HR Generalist.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.   Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.  Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Fully Bilingual (Spanish - English)

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, discounts, interest, and percentages and draw and interpret bar graphs. 

 

REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to work with confidential subjects, strong organizational skills and detail oriented.  Ability to solve problems and conflicts, work with minimal supervision, initiative and judgment.

  1. Able to work with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet Explorer, etc.

  9. Skilled in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
