SUMMARY 

Directs the employment and Human Resources processes and practices while ensuring compliance with relevant federal and state laws and regulations. Helps ensure the continued Safety and Security of the workplace. Provides and/or coordinates ongoing training to company staff and management on important Human Resource, Safety, and Security related issues. Assists other departments in providing their training needs as well. Serves as company HIPAA Compliance and Privacy Officer.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations and laws, including EEOC, FLSA, Wage and Hour, FMLA, HIPAA, and INS, by maintaining accurate personnel files and benefits records.
  • Administers employee benefits and compensation program ensuring timely and accurate enrollments, handling benefits issues with vendors for employees, and assisting with employee benefits billing questions or issues.
  • Provides analysis and recommendations to departmental management and supervisors to create, plan, and conduct orientation and training programs for new and existing employees.
  • Coordinates recruitment and selection of candidates for employment over the telephone and in person and interviews and makes recommendations to the department manager or supervisor for selection.
  • Provides analysis and authoritative recommendations to the Director of Human Resources and department management team to assist in the analysis and enforcement of various Human Resources policies and procedures, including developing job descriptions, conducting performance reviews for new employees, conducting disciplinary functions, and making payroll adjustments for increases.
  • Handles all employee relations and employee counseling issues. Provides coaching to management personnel and makes referrals to outside providers as appropriate.
  • Provides analysis and recommendations to the Company management team to ensure proper Safety and Security Management of the Company workplace.
  • Remains up to date on all relevant OSHA, Safety, or Departmental specific standards.  Ensures that all relevant standards are maintained by subordinates.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or equivalent plus 2-3 years of Human Resources experience; 2 years supervisory experience required.


Must have valid Driver's License and insurable driving record.


Must pass pre-employment drug screen, physical and background checks.
