Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations
- Foster a positive and respectful workplace culture.
- Address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on HR-related matters.
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for both hourly and salaried positions.
- Develop and implement effective onboarding programs for new hires.
- Partner with supervisors to forecast workforce needs.
- Compliance & Recordkeeping
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (OSHA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.).
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Coordinate and manage safety programs in alignment with OSHA standards.
- Performance Management
- Oversee performance review processes and support employee development initiatives.
- Partner with leadership to identify and resolve performance issues.
- Training & Development
- Identify training needs and facilitate internal and external development programs.
- Support cross-training and upskilling within production and support teams.
- Benefits & Payroll Support
- Administer employee benefits programs and serve as a point of contact for benefit-related questions.
- Work closely with finance/payroll to ensure accurate payroll processing and data entry.
- HR Strategy & Culture
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and company-wide HR goals.
- Lead employee engagement efforts including surveys, recognition programs, and events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, safety regulations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily on-site role in a manufacturing environment.
- Regular interaction with production staff in the facility
- Travel to sites 25% - 50% of the time
