HR Leader

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading recruitment strategies, overseeing the hiring process, and aligning talent acquisition with broader HR functions to support organizational growth. Combine traditional HR responsibilities with specialized expertise in sourcing, attracting, and retaining top talent.

Talent Acquisition

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to meet staffing needs.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting (posting, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding) to attract high-quality candidates and deliver a positive candidate experience.
  • Build and maintain a strong employer brand to attract qualified candidates, fostering long-term relationships for future opportunities
  • Partner with department heads to forecast hiring needs and workforce planning.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize recruitment processes and HR strategies.
  • Align talent acquisition goals with long-term business objectives.
  • Deliver creative ideas and strategies to improve career sites and recruitment ads

Human Resources Management

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, hiring regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on compensation, benefits, and workforce development.
  • Oversee HR metrics such as turnover, time-to-fill, retention and recruitment effectiveness.
  • Manage the CBA within our union represented teams to ensure compliance and grievance resolution and respond to union inquiries.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture and drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with HR team on projects involving compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, and workforce development.
  • Serve as a trusted partner and advisor to managers, providing proactive, solution-oriented HR support.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience: 5–8 years in HR or recruitment, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role
  • Certifications: SHRM, HRCI, or talent acquisition–focused credentials are preferred
  • Knowledge and experience of labor laws such as NLRA, Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA and other state and federal laws
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.
  • Expertise in full cycle recruiting and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging candidates and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret HR metrics and recruitment data.
  • Leadership skills to manage teams and influence organizational culture.
  • Experienced professional responsible for designing, developing, and executing talent acquisition strategies.
  • Experience working with a union environment, administering collective bargaining agreements (CBA’s), and communicating effectively with the union.
