The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Human Resources Manager to work at the Corporate Office in Dearborn, MI. The Human Resources Manager acts as the liaison between employees and management, facilitating productive communication, effective working relationships, and a safety culture. The Human Resources Manager will assist with all organizational development activities as well as HR Compliance issues. 

 
Pay: $80-$85K Annually
Required Travel: One week per month to Colorado

Responsibilities
The Human Resources Manager will:
  • Support Operations located in Colorado and Michigan (Travel necessary - one week per month to CO)
  • Drive employee engagement and satisfaction through promotion of a positive company culture while balancing employee needs with company goals
  • Collaborate with management to proactively address upcoming business and workforce needs
  • Develop and facilitate communication systems between management and the workforce
  • Work with management and employees to resolve disputes
  • Investigate incidents and employee relations issues, recommend remedies to management, facilitate appropriate outcomes
  • Assist with implementation and support of safety culture
  • Facilitate and track disciplinary action activities 
  • Assist management and employees at all levels in the organization as it relates to organizational performance goals and expected conduct
  • Facilitate the use of corporate staff resources for training and other improvement efforts
  • Develop performance improvement plans
  • Monitor Company policies and audit site practices to ensure compliance
  • Assist with the management of employment litigation issues
  • Assist management in establishing staffing goals and strategies 
  • Facilitate the recruitment process 
  • Assist employees with benefit and payroll issues
  • Deliver employment-related training
  • Perform special projects as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Ability to Lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to think strategically and collaborate on problem-solving
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Demonstrated employee relations experience
  • Knowledge of employment-related legislation
  • Experience in supporting a safety culture
  • Experience interfacing with legal counsel
  • Good organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience in organizational development across multiple levels 
  • Intermediate computer skills Microsoft Word and Excel (Oracle experience or similar HRIS a plus) 
  • High moral and ethical values
Education
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or business-related field
  • Advanced certifications preferred (PHR, SPHR)
  • Human resources experience in an industrial setting preferred
