Human Resources Manager – Job Description

Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager plays a key leadership role within the HR team, supporting day-to-day HR operations and strategic initiatives across our locations. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Human Resources, this position will oversee a team of 3 to 6 HR professionals.
 
 This role balances hands-on HR execution with leadership and team development responsibilities. It is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and is passionate about employee engagement, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3–6 HR professionals to deliver high-quality service across the organization.
  • Set goals, monitor performance, and provide ongoing feedback and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture within the HR team.

HR Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and staffing.
  • Serve as a key liaison between corporate HR leadership and field operations.

Onboarding

  • Guide and support the onboarding process to promote consistency and employee engagement.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Manage employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and USERRA.
  • Assist in the maintenance and consistent application of company policies and the employee handbook.

Performance & Development

  • Support and oversee performance review cycles, coaching efforts, and disciplinary processes.
  • Identify training needs and help drive employee development initiatives in collaboration with HR leadership.

HR Operations & Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and compliant HR recordkeeping, including personnel files, HRIS data, and compliance documentation.
  • Provide HR metrics and reporting to leadership to support data-informed decision-making.
