From consultation to design, installation, and maintenance, we work with customers to cultivate exquisite plant arrangements and custom-built hardscapes for their homes or commercial properties.
Additionally, we also provide an in-store experience at our downtown garden center to help our customers find inspiration for their outdoor landscape or indoor oasis, whether first-time gardeners or experienced horticulturists.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the day-to-day human resources functions of the organization including but not limited to talent acquisition (recruitment & onboarding), payroll, attendance, benefits, career development, training and employee relations. This role balances compliance and operational excellence with strong relationship-building and culture leadership. The Human Resources Manager will administer and design HR policies and procedures while also serving as a visible, trusted resource across the organization building connections up and down the company, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and helping translate company values into daily behaviors.
We offer an annual salary of $80,000 - $100,000 (commensurate on experience), as well as health insurance, a profit-sharing program, a 401K with company match, paid time off and a positive work environment.
Responsibilities of HR Manager:
- Develops and executes HR policies, processes and systems, and ensures managers and staff are well-informed on policy protocols.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law, and incorporate updates into our HR framework as needed.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, including collaboration with hiring teams & recruitment.
- Builds and executes HR processes for new staff onboarding, such as company and departmental orientation, online system access, hardware needs, and initial basic training.
- Develops & manages performance review, training, continuing education & career development programs.
- Manages communication and logistics related to migrant worker programs, including legal coordination, housing, and transportation.
- Oversee administration of attendance log, payroll, benefits, leave of absence and time off requests.
- Oversee company-wide safety framework, such as development and enforcement of standards, protocols, meetings and training.
- Conducts employee relations investigations, and oversees disciplinary meetings, terminations, and exit interviews.
- Administers employee surveys, gathers insights and offers policy or operational recommendations based on staff feedback.
- Oversee recruitment and experience for overseas subcontractors/remote workers.
- Provides onsite availability as a go-to HR resource for all staff.
- Acts as a culture carrier for the organization by building strong relationships across teams, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and helping organize internal events, recognition efforts, and meaningful employee touchpoints.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
Requirements for HR Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of related human resource manager level experience, preferably experience functioning as an HR Department of One, with experience developing & implementing HR processes.
- Preference for SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
- Preference for bilingual, fluency in English and Spanish.
- Preference for experience with migrant worker programs.
- Preference for experience managing others.
- Passion for cultivating culture and driving diversity & inclusion initiatives.
- Excellent communication & collaboration skills.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization skills and project management skills.

Work Environment:
This is an on-site position in Nashville, TN with work conducted from private, streamlined office trailers that support productivity and collaboration. The role requires regular in-person interaction with team members across office, field, and Garden Center environments.
