Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager will play a critical role in supporting Green Water and Power’s people strategy across a multi-state footprint. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with labor and employment regulations in all active jurisdictions, leading the full-cycle recruitment process, and serving as a strategic business partner to operational and executive leadership.
You will collaborate across departments to align HR practices with business objectives while providing subject matter expertise in employee relations, compliance, hiring practices, and workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws in all 25 states of operation, including wage and hour laws, leave management, and workplace safety.
Lead the end-to-end recruitment process—from workforce planning, job postings, and interviewing to selection and onboarding—ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Act as a trusted business partner to leaders by providing counsel on workforce planning, performance management, organizational development, and employee engagement.
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations as needed.
Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring consistency across locations while tailoring for local requirements.
Partner with man departments and Legal on HR compliance audits, employee classifications, compensation practices, and contract reviews.
Support internal talent development by identifying training needs, recommending learning initiatives, and tracking employee progress.
Monitor HR metrics and present actionable insights to leadership, including turnover trends, recruitment funnel data, and employee satisfaction.
Champion a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and innovation throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources. Business Administration. Legal (Master’s or HR certification such as SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred).
Legal background highly preferred.
Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a multi-state HR management role.
Deep knowledge of U.S. labor and employment law
Proven success managing the full recruitment cycle and developing hiring strategies aligned with business growth.
Strong experience with employee relations, compliance, HR investigations, and workforce planning.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information.
Proficiency in HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
