As the HR Manager at EXOS, you'll operate as both a strategic leader and a hands on practitioner. You will oversee HR operations including payroll, benefits, onboarding, and compliance, while also designing and leading strategic initiatives in employee engagement, training, retention, compensation, and career development.
What You Will Do:
Lead and execute bi-weekly and weekly payroll cycles with precision, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Administer benefits programs, including onboarding new hires, supporting enrollments, addressing employee inquiries, and managing broker/vendor relationships.
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes through HRIS platforms (e.g., Paycor, Employee Navigator), ensuring smooth transitions and accurate data management.
Monitor employee time entry, verify timesheets, and ensure adherence to payroll policies.
Maintain comprehensive employee records throughout the employment lifecycle, including new hires, role changes, and terminations.
Serve as the primary HRIS point of contact, managing system access, safeguarding data integrity, and troubleshooting technical issues.
Oversee workers' compensation claims and process related invoices on a monthly basis.
Respond to employment verifications and other external documentation requests in a timely manner.
Support and document employee relations activities, including performance improvement plans (PIPs) and terminations.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, maintaining and regularly updating the employee handbook.
Strategic HR Leadership
Design and implement impactful training and development programs to strengthen internal capabilities.
Develop modern onboarding experiences that promote early engagement and integration.
Lead retention initiatives, conducting root-cause analyses to address turnover challenges.
Oversee and refine the organization's compensation strategy, including salary benchmarking, equity analysis, and pay transparency practices.
Create and maintain competitive compensation structures aligned with business objectives.
Build clear career pathways and foster internal mobility and succession planning.
Coach managers on performance management, goal setting, and delivering developmental feedback.
Mediate workplace conflicts and provide strategic guidance on employee relations matters.
Partner with department leaders to align team goals with company-wide objectives.
Gather, analyze, and present employee feedback to guide leadership decision-making.
Ensure HR initiatives align with EXOS's long-term business strategy.
Manage payroll tax compliance, including multi-state registration and filing, and review quarterly payroll tax returns.
