At Hellas, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Human Resources Manager with a strong Restaurant background to join our team. This key role is vital to our continued success, combining management of restaurant operations with an understanding of human resources to develop and implement comprehensive job descriptions, procedures, training guides, and succession planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources Development:
Work closely with senior leadership to write and implement clear, effective job descriptions, training manuals, and standard operating procedures for all restaurant staff.

Staff Training & Development:
Develop, implement, and manage training programs to enhance team performance, customer service, and operational efficiency.

Succession Planning:
Identify and nurture future leaders within the team by creating and executing effective succession plans that align with company goals.

Team Engagement:
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, ensuring high employee morale and low turnover rates.

Recruiting, interviewing and selecting:

Work with the HR Team to ensure that staffing needs are met in an efficient manner. This may include writing job ads, posting jobs, pre-screening applicants, scheduling and conducting interviews.

Legal and Compliance:

Well versed in Federal and State laws for companies over 200 employees

Experienced in filing required monthly and annual reports

Operational Efficiency:
Analyze operational performance to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and better resource utilization.

Key Qualifications:

  • BA in Human Resources
  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM- SCP or SHRM-CP
  • Strong understanding of human resources practices, including recruitment, employee development, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing training guides, job descriptions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a passion for coaching and developing team members.
  • Knowledge of HR compliance and best practices in the hospitality industry.
