MaxCare Health & Residential Services is seeking a passionate Human Resources Manager to join our team.


MaxCare Health & Residential Services is a residential group home offering nursing services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have complex medical needs.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related preferred.  Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization. This role requires demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, along with proven problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to handle employee relations and resolve issues efficiently. A solid understanding of employment laws and regulations is essential to ensure compliance and support HR best practices. Ability to exhibit strategic thinking and planning abilities to align HR initiatives with broader business goals. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting is required to track key HR metrics and support data-driven decision-making. Must be willing to be accessible after hours for emergencies. Must pass a background check.


HUMAN RESOURCES JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including drafting job postings, screening applicants, conducting interviews, and facilitating the onboarding of new employees to ensure a smooth and effective hiring experience.
  2. In conjunction with the Staff Development, conduct New-Hire Orientation.
  3. Responsible for scheduling background screenings.
  4. Prepare and distribute required documentation in preparation for new-hire training i.e. certificates, screenings etc.
  5. Serve as a trusted resource for employees by addressing concerns, resolving workplace conflicts, and fostering strong relationships between staff and management to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  6. With qualified training, will be responsible for conducting CPR and Crisis Wave Training.
  7. Responsible for scanning/filing HR documentation for new-hires, active and termed employees.
  8. Responsible for tracking and monitoring the following required trainings and screenings: professional license renewals, performance evaluations, new-hire and annual TB Screenings, medication administration and gastrostomy tube medication administration.
  9. Act as logistical liaison between outside vendors to ensure organizational documentation has been submitted and returned as applicable.
  10. Create, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures in accordance with labor laws and organizational needs, ensuring full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  11. Oversee and process payroll activities accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws, wage regulations, and company policies. Coordinate with the MaxCare HRS President.
  12. Administer compensation structures and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with company objectives, while supporting employee satisfaction and retention.
  13. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that align with business goals and contribute to long-term organizational success.
  14. Participate in special projects and committees.
  15. Ensure maintenance of the Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services licensing standards.
  16. Attend routine organizational meetings and outside workshops/conferences and ensure dissemination of relative information to staff and others.
  17. Work cooperatively with all interagency departments, respecting the established chain of command.
  18. The employee agrees to cooperate with Agency and DDD Staff during any inspection or investigation.
  19. Perform additional duties as required by the nature of the position.
