Human Resources Manager

The Building Materials division of the Stewart Companies is looking for a dynamic and energic Human Resources Manager to support our Masonry and Heritage Concrete teams. Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver HR strategies aligned with our business goals
• Lead full-cycle recruitment — from job posting to onboarding
• Manage employee relations, conduct investigations, and help resolve conflicts
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
• Guide leaders through performance management and review processes
• Identify training needs and coordinate development initiatives
• Administer compensation and benefits programs
• Maintain accurate HRIS records
• Support organizational change and workforce planning
• Champion employee engagement and workplace culture initiatives
• Travel to field sites to build strong relationships with employees and managers

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience
• Proficiency with HR software and systems
• Professional certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR) preferred
• Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• High emotional intelligence, ethical integrity, and sound judgment
• Adaptability and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Willingness to travel within the Mid-Atlantic region (about 25% of the time)
