Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to be based out of Dallas, TX.  Reporting to the Human Resources Director, this person will be a business minded, hands-on HR professional who has demonstrated they are able to execute projects, make an impact, and is a true change agent for the Dallas manufacturing plant. The HR Manager will be responsible for leading and executing talent acquisition, employee relations, coaching and counseling of management team to maximize the contribution of our associates. This individual will also be responsible for the development and administration of HR policies and procedures, as well as administering corporate policies. This position partners closely with the Plant Manager and leadership team to understand business issues and bring solutions that advance the organizational goals and priorities.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources across multiple HR disciplines within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a mid-size company (1,000-10,000 employees).

What you’ll do:

  • Lead Human Resources operations for Atkore's Dallas, TX manufacturing facility, supporting a multiple shift manufacturing operation and aligning HR initiatives with business priorities.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to address business challenges, provide data-driven insights, and implement HR solutions that improve performance and culture. 
  • Focuses on creating a positive associate relations environment and culture.
  • Manage end-to-end recruiting for hourly and salaried roles including recruiting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.  Continuously refine job descriptions and train hiring managers on Atkore's Recruitment and Selection process and best practices.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all benefits pay, and job-related questions.
  • Develop and implement strategies and action plans that strengthen employee engagement and alignment, fostering a positive work environment and driving long-term retention.
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues and complaints, including Compliance Hotline investigations, and implement appropriate corrective actions to mitigate risk.
  • Coach and provide guidance to managers on performance management, employee relations, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with employment related laws (EEO, OSHA, FLSA, ADAAA, FMLA, etc.) including maintaining employee files.
  • Drive on-time delivery of annual HR processes such as merit review, organizational leadership review, compliance action plans, and performance reviews etc.
  • Operate with a continuous improvement mindset and identify opportunities to enhance processes.  Support and drive process improvements and projects for Atkore-wide people-related programs and best practices.
  • Leverage HR analytics to monitor key workforce metrics, identify trends, and implement targeted initiatives that improve overall organizational performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Labor relations experience preferred.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills with ability to analyze information and create reports.
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
  • Ability to confidently engage with business leaders, demonstrating ease in respectfully challenging perspectives when necessary to achieve optimal solutions for organizational success.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, enforce all standard work, established policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a high workload and multiple priorities in a fast paced work environment while maintaining accuracy and high quality results in a timely manner.

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Complete your Atkore immersion program.
  • Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore’s strategy.
  • Gain an understanding of your role, the HR organization, and the organization you support.
  • Gain an understanding of the training materials and procedures your role requires

Within 6 months, you’ll:

  • Establish strong working relationships with the leadership team you support as well as build rapport with employees
  • Be leading the recruitment process for the openings in the groups you support
  • Identify opportunities to improve standard processes related to the HRBP role
  • Identify ways to strengthen the team’s commitment to Atkore’s core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Excellence

Within 12 months, you’ll:

  • Have successfully led the talent acquisition plan, training and integration plan for the new facility
  • Have worked with leadership and employees to build an Engaged & Aligned workplace 
  • Have meaningful coaching sessions with your managers on succession planning, performance management, team development, and engagement & alignment and assist them with execution on said initiatives
  • Have the foundation to be an expert on the HRBP role in order to support other locations within the SBU as needed

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $95,200 to $130,900.  Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.  Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
