Position Summary
The HR Manager will work in a part-time capacity, with a primary responsibility for managing and processing bi-weekly payroll. In addition to payroll, this role ensures compliance with employment laws and supports managers and employees across both locations.
This position is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who is equally comfortable running payroll as they are advising leadership on organizational strategy.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time.
• Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers.
• Handle employee relations, investigations, and performance matters with fairness and professionalism.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Maintain and update HR policies and procedures.
• Administer employee benefits and coordinate open enrollment with broker assistance.
• Advise leadership on compensation, pay practices, and workforce planning.
• Maintain accurate HR records and reporting.

Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including payroll processing.
• Strong working knowledge of payroll systems, employment law, and HR best practices.
• Experience in hospitality, food & beverage, or manufacturing industries a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance hands-on tasks (like payroll) with strategic HR leadership.
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred, not required.
