Position Objective:

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of the human resources function, including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compliance, and organizational development. This role ensures HR strategies support the organization's mission and culture while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and best practices.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Develops and implements HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Manages the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, and onboarding.
  • Provides guidance to managers and employees on employee relations, performance improvement, and HR policies.
  • Oversees benefits administration, leave of absence management, and workers’ compensation programs.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintains up-to-date HR policies.
  • Coordinates and supports performance review processes, training initiatives, and employee development programs.
  • Maintains accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Investigates and resolves workplace issues and employee concerns in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Assists with workforce planning, organizational structure, and compensation analysis.
  • Supports organizational culture by promoting values of respect, inclusion, and collaboration.
  • Other duties assigned by Goodwill.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive HR experience, including supervisory responsibilities
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) preferred

 

Work Environment:

Office environment with regular interaction across all departments. Occasional travel to store locations. Work may involve high confidentiality, time-sensitive deadlines, and sensitive personnel issues. Flexibility in schedule may be required to meet operational needs.
