Position Summary:

Carolina Beverage Group is seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Manager to run all HR functions at our Mooresville, North Carolina manufacturing facility, supporting approximately 425 employees. This role requires a visible, engaged HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is comfortable spending significant time on the production floor and with employees.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, with a dotted-line relationship to the Corporate VP of Human Resources, the HR Manager will partner closely with operations leadership while ensuring strong compliance, employee engagement, and people-first practices across a 24x7 manufacturing operation.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Lead and manage all day-to-day HR operations for the Mooresville facility
  • Maintain a strong on-site presence and actively engage with employees and leaders on the plant floor
  • Lead employee relations matters including investigations, coaching, counseling, and policy interpretation
  • Coach managers and supervisors through performance management, corrective action, and sensitive employee situations
  • Manage recruitment and staffing for a high-volume, hourly manufacturing workforce
  • Participate in daily production and operations meetings as a business partner
  • Oversee performance review processes and employee development initiatives
  • Lead employee engagement, recognition, and appreciation programs
  • Maintain accurate employee records in ADP Workforce Now
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends to support retention strategies
  • Prepare HR metrics, KPIs, and workforce reports
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the site HR team
  • Collaborate with Corporate HR partners in benefits, payroll, leave administration, safety, and compliance
    • Other duties may be assigned

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of HR management experience, preferably in manufacturing is preferred
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Proven experience handling employee relations and investigations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office
  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred, but not required

 

Schedule & Availability

  • 100% on-site role at the Mooresville, NC manufacturing facility
  • Flexible schedule required, including availability to support 12-hour shifts on 2/2/3 operational schedule and serve a 24x7 operation

 

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Regularly required to walk, stand, and move throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periods
  • Ability to access all areas of the plant, including production, warehouse, and maintenance areas
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs and walk long distances within the facility
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds (e.g., training materials, employee files)
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and production equipment
  • Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when on the production floor
  • Must be able to maintain consistent floor presence to effectively support employees across all shifts
