Job Summary: 


We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will be responsible for various human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of HR best practices and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.


Key Responsibilities:


Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and selection
  • Coordinate and conduct new employee orientations and onboarding activities
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.


    Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement.
  • Address and resolve employee issues and conflicts in a timely and professional manner.


Performance Management:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems.
  • Support managers in conducting performance appraisals and providing constructive feedback.
  • identify and address performance issues and develop improvement plans.


    HR Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.


    Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions on various HR-related topics.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.


    Payroll, Compensation and Benefits:

  • Work with 3rd party payroll provided to process bi-weekly payroll
  • Keep track of employee payroll information and report changes to payroll processor
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs.
  • Support the annual salary review process and compensation benchmarking.
  • Provide guidance to employees on benefits and compensation-related inquiries.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • SHRM or PHR certification – Required. 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a professional services or CPA firm environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and working knowledge of employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
