HR Leader

REQUIRED: JOB SUMMARY:  

As a part of our team, the HR Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our workforce is focused on our mission and values. By leveraging strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of HR best practices, this role will contribute to the development of strategies that enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and overall organizational effectiveness. 

The HR Manager role will work under the VP of Administrative Operations to be heavily focused on tracking, implementing and utilizing KPI’s that compare metrics against historical data and/or create actionable insights to identify opportunities for process improvements. 

REQUIRED: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Work closely with recruiting team to address strategies and implement efficiencies with HRIS and external accounts
  • Manage the onboarding/offboarding processes and work with Onboarding/Offboarding Coordinator for all new hires
  • Responsible for managing the 1099 and w2 onboarding

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand their objectives and provide HR support to achieve goals
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and providing guidance back to leadership
  • Work with Accuserve (Elite’s Parent Company) HR team to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and enforce Elite HR policies and procedures, updating as needed.
  • Handle employee investigations and disciplinary actions in a fair and legal manner.

Performance Management & Development

  • Support the performance management process. Including goal setting, performance reviews and feedback sessions.
  • Work closely with department heads to drive employee engagement and productivity.
  • Work with department leaders to develop career paths and ensure people growth strategies

Elite Paylocity Ownership & Coordination

  • System Oversight: Act as the Elite direct line of support for Paylocity, managing key modules including Onboarding and Active/HR (note: recruiting functions remain under the purview of the Recruiting Team).
  • Workflow & Template Management: Set up and manage workflows, standard templates, and backend administrative configurations to optimize HR operations. (Direct backend access is restricted to the VP of Ops and GM; the HR Manager will coordinate closely with these leaders.)
  • System Optimization: Ensure that the configuration and ongoing maintenance of Paylocity meet the unique needs of the Elite HR processes.
  • Collaborate with Accuserve HR Team through actions with employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Collaborate with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate payroll processing.

HR Metrics, Analytics & Employee Communication

  • Data-Driven Insights: Monitor, analyze, and report on HR metrics—such as employee engagement, turnover, and process efficiency—to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Reporting: Develop and present regular performance reports to executive leadership, highlighting key insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Communication Strategy: Oversee the development and implementation of effective employee communication strategies within the Elite HR Department.

Elite HR Department Management & Collaboration

  • Department Structure: Play a key role in setting up and managing the Elite HR Department, ensuring a cohesive operational framework among the HR Manager, Recruiting Manager, and Onboarding Coordinator.
  • Collaborative Integration: Work closely with the Recruiting Manager to transition and maintain recruiting infrastructure responsibilities within the designated recruiting team.
  • General HR Leadership: Oversee day-to-day HR functions such as employee relations, conflict resolution, and compliance with employment laws, ensuring a high-performing and innovative HR environment.
Requirements

REQUIRED: QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership or a related field highly preferred
  • Experience: At least 3 years in an HR, people support role, with at least 1 year in a managerial capacity required
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience providing strategy and tactical support to an HR Department and business at large
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in a sales industry with numerous locations desired
  • Background in handling contractor and subcontractor HR compliance.
  • Experience working in an environment supporting 300+ team members
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

  • Manager Satisfaction with HR Support: Survey results on HR responsiveness, problem resolution, and quality of HR advice.

REQUIRED: WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Hours: Weekdays between 8am-5pmCST
  • Location: to be performed at Brentwood, MO
  • Travel: Some occasional travel to acquired companies, up to 15%
