Ross-Simons, America’s Favorite Jeweler is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Human Resources Manager to join our team in Cranston, RI. We're looking for a people-focused leader who’s passionate about building strong teams and an even stronger workplace culture.

 

In this role, you’ll oversee the full spectrum of HR functions — including talent acquisition, employee engagement, compliance, HRIS maintenance, and benefits administration. As a trusted partner to leadership, you’ll help foster a positive, high-performing environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow.

What You’ll Do:

 Recruiting & Onboarding

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process from job posting to offer, ensuring an excellent candidate experience.
  • Collaborate with staffing agencies for seasonal hiring needs.
  • Conduct engaging new hire orientations and create smooth, welcoming onboarding journeys.

Benefits & Leave Administration

  • Oversee daily benefits operations and serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries.
  • Manage open enrollment and all leave of absence processes, from start to return.
  • Auditing and reviewing monthly benefit invoices.

HRIS Management

  • Manage and maintain our HRIS (ADP Workforce Now), ensuring data accuracy and optimized workflows.
  • Be the go-to person for system updates, reporting, audits, and vendor coordination.
  • Lead system improvements and support user training.

Culture & Employee Experience

  • Lead company events, charitable initiatives, and recognition programs.
  • Communicate internal announcements, celebrate wins, and keep employees engaged.
  • Help shape a culture where people feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

Employee Relations & Support

  • Be a visible and approachable HR presence—ready to assist employees and leaders with questions or concerns.
  • Provide guidance on policies and ensure fair, consistent treatment across the organization.

Training & Development

  • Identify training needs and roll out impactful learning programs.
  • Deliver or coordinate sessions on onboarding, compliance, leadership development, and more.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Policies & Compliance

  • Organizing and maintaining digital personnel files according to internal guidelines and legal requirements
  • Keep our policies updated, relevant, and aligned with legal requirements.
  • Stay ahead of federal, state, and local labor laws, advising leadership on necessary updates and compliance matters.


Who You Are:

  • A collaborative, people-first HR professional who’s ready to make a real impact.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s and/or HR certifications (PHR/SPHR) a big plus.
  • 5+ years of well-rounded HR experience (Generalist, Business Partner, or similar).
  • HRIS-savvy, ideally with ADP Workforce Now.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and working with all levels of the organization.
  • Discreet, professional, and able to handle sensitive information with care.
  • Strong communicator, tech-comfortable, and naturally organized.
  • Knowledgeable in FMLA, COBRA, and general U.S. labor laws.

 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
