Unit Description

Delaware North is the food and beverage, and retail partner at The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex since dating back to 1995. The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is the visitor center at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It features exhibits and displays, historic spacecraft and memorabilia, shows, educational camps and programs, two IMAX theaters, and a range of bus tours.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition and HR Operations teams to attract, hire, and onboard new team members
  • Be a bridge between your local and wider HR team; advocate for consistent best practices and share knowledge unique to your location
  • Develop and deliver training to new and existing team members, ensure they have a thorough understanding of their job functions, policies, procedures, and opportunities for growth
  • Handle employee relations matters, including conducting investigations and complaint resolution
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Assist with union contract negotiations, ensure all union contracts are properly implemented and adhered to, and investigate union grievances

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 yearsโ€™ experience as an HR Generalist and at least 2 years as an HR Manager
  • Previous experience using iCIMS, Workday, or similar HRIS system
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field preferred; PHR or SPHR certification is a plus
  • Union experience a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Independent problem solving and analytical abilities
