Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager – Multi-Site is responsible for leading and executing human resources strategy across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role serves as a strategic and operational partner to plant leadership, ensuring alignment between workforce initiatives and business objectives while supporting a safe, compliant, and high-performance production environment.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources, this position requires approximately 20% travel to assigned manufacturing locations throughout the Northeast and Midwest. This role will be based at our Versalift East facility in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership with Operations

  • Partner with Plant Managers and operational leadership to support production goals, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Align HR initiatives with manufacturing KPIs including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.

Employee & Labor Relations

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations matters across multiple facilities.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Coach supervisors and managers on performance management, progressive discipline, and conflict resolution.
  • Support union-free environments and maintain positive employee relations.

HR Compliance

  • Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including multi-state requirements if applicable.
  • Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws, FMLA, ADA, and other employment regulations.

Compensation, Benefits & Workforce Analytics

  • Manage payroll, timekeeping, and HR data through ADP Workforce Now (or ADP Vantage), ensuring accuracy across all sites.
  • Support hourly and salaried compensation administration, including shift differentials and incentive programs.
  • Partner with corporate HR on annual merit planning and market competitiveness.
  • Analyze workforce metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, overtime, and productivity to identify trends and recommend solutions.

HR Operations & HRIS Management

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data integrity across multiple locations.
  • Ensure consistency and compliance in HR processes across all manufacturing sites.

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent progressive HR experience (7+ years) may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years supporting manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, wage and hour regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems, specifically ADP Workforce Now or ADP Vantage, including payroll, employee data management, and reporting.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20% to manufacturing sites.
